Transitions – in addition, moreover, furthermore, another

What is a transiton?

A transition means a change from one idea to another idea. There are many transtions in English. We use transitions to add info, we use transitions to show a contrast,"althoug, however",etc. We use transtions to show conditions, "if","unless",we use transitions to get to a conclusion,"therefore","thus".

They can join ideas within a sentence.but even more so, they can join two paragraphs.

in addition (to)    ...(most common)

furthermore         ....(next most formal)
moreover               ...(most formal)

another

other.

His laziness caused the company to perform badly last quarter. Moreover, his attitude towards the board has put his job in jeopardy

Moreover用In addtion, furthermore也可以。

His laziness and his attitude caused the company to do badly, and put his job in jeopardy。

...so the internet not only helps people connect to friends and family anywhere in the world, it also make it cheap to do so.

如果想要add to this idea
In addtion to friends+family...
moreover/furthermore
....the internet provides companies

如果你参加考试,你没有时间了,这是你的go-to transition, when you're stuck, you have nothin else, you want to switch to the next idea,使用下面这样的

Another reason the internet is goods,is because it provides companies

但是请记住,这是你的last choice,不是first choice.
